Job Title: Police Contact Enquiry Officer

Location: Park Gate/Bishops Waltham

Salary: Scale 5 (£30,333.00 - £32,613.00 per annum) 

Contract: Permanent

Hours:  22.50 hours per week (Monday & Wednesday at Park Gate, 0800-1600. Friday at Bishop Waltham, 0800-1600.)

Closing Date: Sunday 14th June 2026 @ 23:55 hrs

Interviews will take place in person during week commencing 22 June or 29th June 2026 

About The Role

Currently located in 19 police stations across the county, the Front Counters team are dedicated to providing the best possible service to the public and internal stakeholders. 

Police Contact Enquiry Officers (PCEOs) are responsible for providing an efficient and effective front counter service to members of the general public.

What are looking for candidates who:

• Are qualified to QCF level 2, or had comparable work experience.
• Are able to critically assess enquiries and gather information through face to face contact, telephone call backs, and electronic systems. 
• Have a UK driving licence. 
• Have proven experience of working in a busy customer/public service environment. 
• Have paper-based and electronic clerical skills, including experience of creating varied documentation in high volumes. 
• Feel confident dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. 
• Have knowledge of Windows based Microsoft software and can confidently use IT equipment.
